uPNP mediaserver Icy Box NAS-903

I have the problem that when I try to access the uPNP media server via my PS3, I just got listed max. 10 video files per folder. For me it looks like that there´s a restrition which does not allow to display more than a number of files from each folder?

I also have a Western Digital Live HD Media box. On this device the Icy Box display maximum 64 Files per folder???

I´ve searched for a solution for several days now, without success :(

When I´m using the uPNP mediaserver of windows 7 everything works without any problems!

Maybe anyone know something more about this strange behavior?

I would really appreciate your help! Thanks in advance

Using the same NAS - no problem with mediaserver -> lists more then 120 tracks. Maybe you can specify the files listed and the files which are not. Anyway, I dont think NAS 903 has any restriction on file count.

Re: uPNP mediaserver Icy Box NAS-903

Hello,
I've got quite similar problem (posted in other thread).
In my situation there is a problem with listing either folder or files. I got mostly photos on my NAS (I give up with mkv files). Main problem is with listing my photo directory, but NAS acts so weird, that I can find any regular behavior.
It looks like my player (Sony BDP-S370) can't get a full list of directories. I've tried with a different numbers of directories on first level, if there was a smaller number of folders it worked fine, but when I increased folder number - it started the problem.
Other problem was, when I had a smaller number of folders (on first level), I created large number of subdirectories (lower in folder structures) - it started problem also.
Summary I got almost 5000 photos in different folders and sub folders - so I have big problems with it when I use NAS as media server.
Actually my NAS acts as network storage, connected via Ethernet to router and further via WLAN to laptop.

Other type of problem is when I want to watch my photos (or mp3) in continuous mode, my player plays 3 files and goes back to file list - weird.
Selecting every single file - works OK.

At last, when I use my laptop (Win XP) as media server (for sony player) - everything works fine. In this situation there is no such situation as described above.
I'm not sure what to think about my NAS ....

I don't know if it's important but I have Seagate 500 GB HDD.

Hmm I´ve written a mail directly to Raidsonic (the producers of the Icy Box). Hopefully they have an idea what the problem could be.

I had a large folder with about 1500 files I think.
On the PS3 I just got displayed max. 10 Files

Then I´ve created subfolders from A-Z.
On the PS3 I still just got displayed max. 10 Files

Very strange... :?
