MKV on NAS903

Hello,
is there any restriction on file types for video or photos ?
My player (sony bdp-s370) can't see mkv files on my nas 903.
Other problem is, that photos watched from a directory on my nas aren't played continuously. After two or three photos player goes back to list of files. When I watch photos from my computer (via DLNA) there is no such problem.

Regads.

I use the latest firmware 1.59b.
Pictures are mostly jpg's from EOS350D in large jpg format.

As described few posts earlier, maybe this list needs to be updated with containers also, not only codecs.

please visit the raidsonic website http://www.raidsonic.de/de/products/det ... ectID=6849 to download and update the firmware.( you told you are using the same version firmware but still please try it.)

OK, I'll try with the firmware. But I've observed same situation with mp3 files, when played 2 songs - player goes back to file list.

Another problem I have;
In my photo section (media server) I placed almost 100 directories with my photos. I can reach them by SMB, but I'm not able to even list the directories with my player (via media server). Is there any restriction like allowed number of directories (files) ?

Re: MKV on NAS903

Hello,
after another firmware upgrade nothing has changed.

Player still has problem with reading pictures and music files when in "continuous play" mode, every 2 or 3 files goes back to file list.
In pictures mode, when there is more than about 50 directories, media server is unable to provide list of directories to player.

I've tested my player with media server from Windows Vista Media Player. Works fine without any problems.

Hi,
it connects over the network, s370 can not read hdd via usb port (only flash discs).
