Looking to buy IB-3810U3

Hi, I am still looking to expand my storage and am wondering if anyone has any experience with this enclosure ?

I will run Windows 10 on a Shuttle DS437T Celeron 1037U (Intel NM70 Express chipset) and wondering a few things:
* Can this enclosure take 10TB drives ?
* Any known problems with the above HW + Chipset ? I am today running cheap HDD enclosures on USB3 without hiccups..
* I cannot seem to find any software for this enclosure, or firmware for that matter ?
* What transfer speeds are to be expected in a JBOD (single drive mode) ?
* How loud is this thing, can I lower the fans speed ?

Hello darkie,

i can only tell from my experience:

- I didn't try 10 TB drives
- Should work as any other enclosure
- At the moment there is no other Firmware
- Transfer speed is limited by the HDDs i use (WD Red 3 TB) and ist about 130 MB/s
- I'd say the Harddrives are louder than the Fan

Thanks for the reply. I am hoping to run Stablebit Drivepool on this, to have NTFS as underlying filesystem and also get a virtual big filesystem. Do you know of any issues with this ?

I'm not sure, but it could be an Issue that the IB-3810 provides all HDDs via one
single USB cable to the operating system. I don't know how if StableBit DrivePool
is compatible with that.
