Icy Box IB-RD3620SU3 data transfer very slow

I'm using the Icy Box IB-RD3620SU3 with 2 Seagate 6TB ironwolf drives, and transferring data between them is painfully slow - I'm getting around 15MB/sec from the Mac Sierra finder interface.

Is this normal?

What transfer rate should I expect to achieve?

Re: Icy Box IB-RD3620SU3 data transfer very slow

Hello defektor,

i think the Problem here is, that all data you copy between the two drives, has
to first travel through the USB clable to the computer and then back again to the
other drive.
I don't know if there is a solution, but i fear it's inherent to the system, that the data
transfer between the HDDs is slow.

Best regards,
Stephan
